About District 39 (Peel)

 

The Region of Peel borders the Region of Halton, Dufferin County, York Region and the City of Toronto and includes the cities of Mississauga, Brampton and the Town of Caledon.

 

With a diverse population of approximately 1.4 million, District 39 (Peel) welcomes new members from the field of education (teachers, school and board administration, education support staff, college & university faculty) . Our district has been well represented at Board of Directors meetings, Senate and on provincial RTO/ERO committees.

 

We welcome members who wish to volunteer to serve on our committees which include Political Advocacy, Pension, Recruitment, Health and Communications.

Since 1968, The Retired Teachers of Ontario/Les enseignantes et enseignants retraités de l’Ontario (RTO/ERO) has provided excellent programs and services for teachersschool and board administrators, educational support staff, childhood educators, child care professionals and college and university faculty in retirement.

A bilingual, non-profit organization, RTO/ERO provides a strong and active voice for over 72,000 members ranging in age from 46 to 109, including over 6,700 associate members.Membership brochure
